Your fitness age is an indicator of how healthy you are at your actual age. It is an estimation of your cardiovascular fitness level, or the ability to consume and utilize oxygen -also known as the VO2max compared with the average level. When the VO2max levels are lower than your actual age groups, then your fitness age is above your actual age, and vice versa. It’s been suggested that the fitness age is a better predictor of longevity than one’s actual age. Not an ideal tool for professional athletes.
